Product Details

Graphitized petroleum coke is a carbonaceous material produced by heat treating petroleum coke at high temperatures. This process is usually carried out in a graphitization furnace. Petroleum coke is treated at a high temperature of about 3000 degrees to transform its amorphous turbostratic carbon crystals into hexagonal layered crystalline carbon, thus completing the graphitization process.

Calcined pitch coke is mainly used in metallurgical casting. It can increase the carbon content in the steelmaking and casting processes, increase the amount of scrap steel, reduce the amount of pig iron, or even eliminate the use of scrap iron.

High carbon, low sulfur, low nitrogen, high degree of graphitization, high carbon recovery rate (92%~98%), has a stable effect on increasing carbon content.

MCC's calcined petroleum coke is mainly used for blast furnace ironmaking and blast furnace smelting of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc, titanium and antimony.

In the smelting industry, a small amount of calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, elemental phosphorus, etc. Medium carbon calcined petroleum coke powder is also used as a sintering fuel in steel plants. Coke is used as a raw material for water gas synthesis.
