Product Overview
The flanged expansion butterfly valve is designed to
automatically compensate for thermal expansion and contraction in
pipelines, facilitating easy installation and removal. It is
ideal for industrial pipelines in petroleum, chemical, power,
paper-making, water supply & drainage, and municipal construction
industries, where temperatures do not exceed 120℃ and nominal
pressure is up to 1.6MPa. The valve effectively regulates flow
and isolates fluids.
Working Principle
The flanged expansion butterfly valve is available in three
types:
Standard Type: Installed according to the
expansion joint's design specifications. If limit bolts are
required, they must be specified during design.
Fixed-Limit Type: Provides both expansion and
limiting functions, allowing the expansion section to be fixed
when necessary. It offers greater functionality and a wider range
of applications.
Extended Type: Features an extended expansion
section to match the required length without considering the
expansion amount. This type is particularly useful for pipeline
renovations where existing valves need replacement without
cutting and modifying pipe connections. If limit measures are
needed, they should be specified during design.
Product Features
Adjustable and replaceable sealing components ensure reliable
sealing performance.
Unique structure, flexible design, lightweight, easy to
operate, and quick to open/close.
Compensates for pipeline expansion and contraction due to
temperature changes while facilitating maintenance and replacement.
Installation Precautions
Before installation, the valve should be laid flat to prevent
damage. Do not randomly knock or collide with it, and do not remove
the support bracket during operation.
The valve is shipped at its minimum structural length. During
installation, extend it to the designated installation length.
If the pipeline gap exceeds the valve’s expansion range, adjust
the pipe spacing instead of forcibly stretching the valve, as this
may cause damage.
The valve can be installed in any direction. When used for
temperature compensation, additional supports must be installed at
both ends along the pipeline axis after pipeline installation to
prevent the expansion section from being pulled out.
