COMPOSITION

Each 1 ml contains :

Diclazuril 25 mg.

Excipients ad 1 ml.

DESCRIPTION

Diclazuril belongs to the group of benzeneacetonitriles and has anti-coccidial activity against Eimeria species. Depending on the coccidia species, diclazuril has an effect on either the sexual or the asexual stages of the development cycle of the parasite. Diclazuril is poorly absorbed from the intestinal canal, therefore it has mainly effect on coccidia present in the intestines.

INDICATIONS

D-COXVET is effective in the prevention and treatment of coccidial infections in lambs caused by Eimeria crandallis or Eimeria ovinoidalis and in calves caused by Eimeria bovis or Eimeria zuernii. D-COXVET as well as is effective for poultry coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mitis (mivati), and E. maxima.

DOSAGE

For oral administration:

- 500 ml per 500 litre of drinking water (25 ppm) for continuous medication over 48 hours, or

- 1500 ml per 500 litre of drinking water (75 ppm) given for 8 hours per day, on 2 consecutive days.

This corresponds to a dose rate of 7 mg of toltrazuril per kg of body weight per day for 2 consecutive days.

Note: supply the medicated drinking water as the only source of drinking water. Do not administer to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
