Specification: • Origen: Ivory Coast – West Africa • Quality is Grade is 1 & 2. • Grade 1 means grade A+ Premium and 2 means grade A high quality.

Our Cocoa is classified into two best commercial types quality (Grade 1 & 2), certified by Rainforest as an Organic product. The size medium to large has a dark brown to reddish-brown color.

Our Grade I cocoa is composed of lots of beans that are uniform in color and size. A maximum of 10% of the beans may have a weight deviating by more than 1/3 in ± of the average weight of the beans. In addition, the lot does not contain more than:

• Max 3% in number of moldy beans
• Max 3% in number of "slate" beans
• < 3% in number of beans with other defects.
• < 7% moisture content
• < 8% weight deviation
• Fermented Processing Type: Sun Dried

Our Grade II cocoa bean is composed of batches with a general appearance of a homogeneous color. It doesn't not contain more than:

• Max 4% of moldy beans
• Max 6% of slate beans
• < 7% moisture content
• < 6% of beans with other defects
• Fermented Processing Type: Sun Dried

When a bean has several defects, only the most serious one is considered (in decreasing order: moldy, slatey, other defects). The export of cocoa that does not meet these quality standards is automatically prohibited by the government of Ivory Coast from being exported
