How does the Aqualyx Treatment
work?
The human body naturally stores fat and everybody
distributes the body fat by a unique genetically
determined
pattern.
In almost all cases, this inherent distribution of fat,
can not be solved by adopting a healthy lifestyle. You
may eat a well-balanced diet and exercise regularly,
yet you still may have a stubborn area of fat that you
are unable to
reduce.
Aqualyx contains an active substance called Desoxychol
acid. This is a naturally occurring acid within the
body and its essential function is involved in the
digestion of fat.
What is the Aqualyx Treatment
procedure?
A detailed medical history is taken prior to any
treatment to determine if you are suitable for this
treatment. The treated area of skin is cleansed with a
Chlorhexidine solution. The solution is then injected
into the fat through a special Aqualyx
Cannula.
Normally two injection sites are needed per region.
Lignocaine is added to the Aqualyx for a comfortable
experience. The treatment is relatively painless. You
may experience a warm
sensation.
How many Aqualyx Treatments are
required?
The number of treatments is dependent on the personal
response of every individual, and the area to be
treated. A client may need anything from 2 to 6
treatments.
Are there any side effects of
Aqualyx?
Swelling of the treated area (4-6
days)
Bruising
Redding of the skin (up to 2
days)
Minor aches and pains
